A Baby Is Born! Angels Sing And Shepherds Rejoice!

Read:

Luke 2.6-20

Joseph tried to find a place for Mary to have her baby, but there was no room available. They ended up staying in a barn.

Mary gave birth to a son, her first child. She wrapped him in a blanket and laid him in a manger.

Some shepherds were working in the fields nearby, watching their sheep. Suddenly, an angel appeared among them and God’s glory was shining brightly all around them.

The angels were terrified. But the angel said, “Don’t be afraid. I’m here to announce good news of great joy for all people! A Savior has been born in Bethlehem, God’s own son. Go now and see for yourselves! Look for the baby wrapped in a blanket and lying in a manger.”

The angel was joined by a huge choir of other angels singing God’s praises: “Glory to God in the highest, and peace to everyone on earth!”

Then the angels went back up into the heavens and the shepherds said, “Let’s go to Bethlehem right away and see for ourselves what God has told us about.”

They ran and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby lying in the manger. It was wonderful and they believed. They told everyone they met what the angels had said about this child.

Mary kept these moments and memories to herself, cherishing them all.

Good News of Great Joy for all People!
