Get a Grip

Week of April 1-7

Theme: Get a grip

Bible Verse(s): Hebrews 10.23-25

Let’s keep a firm grip on the promises that keep us going. He always keeps his word.

Let’s see how inventive we can be in encouraging love and helping out…

Not avoiding worshiping together as some do but spurring each other on, especially as we see the big Day approaching.

Discussion

What does the expression “get a grip” mean?

What is this verse telling us to get a firm grip on?

What are some of the promises of God?

What does the word “inventive” mean?

Do you have any invention ideas?

If you had to invent new ways of encouraging and loving and help ing others out, what would be some of your ideas?

What are you missing about church right now?

Have you ever made excuses for not going to church? What were they?

Now that we’ve been missing church because we have to, how will this experience change your feelings about going to church regularly when we can?

Family Project

Choose a newly-invented idea for how to encourage and love and help someone out, and do it together as a family.
